Novitiate Ceremony

KCO Za, Kong MaNyar Thathii, will be performing at Novitiate Ceremony. The Novitiate Ceremony is a traditional Buddhist rite where young boys temporarily become novice monks. Held during school breaks or festivals, it allows families to earn merit. Boys wear ceremonial clothing and join a colorful procession before being ordained and spending time in a monastery to learn Buddhist teachings. It’s a spiritual and cultural celebration of community and tradition.
